Churches from Tallapoosa, Tuskegee Lee associations partner for missions

Lake Pointe Baptist Church, Dadeville, launched its first missions team from its new facilities March 25–30. Together with a team from Tuskegee Lee Baptist Association, the group of 11 spent the week assisting the Bruce Outreach Center (BOC) in Westernport, Maryland. The two groups worked together to organize the clothing distribution rooms at the center, prepare backstage facilities for bands performing in the chapel and hung sheet rock in one of the area apartments. BOC will use the apartments to house families in need.

The two teams experienced the value of partnering on mission this week. Not only did they work together to help BOC, but the team members, as well as several BOC staff members, shared devotionals, prayer times and meals with each other. Faron Golden is pastor of Lake Pointe and Bill King is director of missions for Tuskegee Lee Association. (Hannah Muñoz)
