Position Overview
Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, a welcoming rural congregation in Slocomb, Alabama, is prayerfully seeking a Pastor called by God to provide steadfast biblical leadership, pastoral care, and vision for our church and surrounding community.
We are seeking a man of deep faith who holds firmly to the authority and inerrancy of Scripture, affirms the Baptist Faith & Message, and possesses a strong passion for expository preaching, discipleship, and evangelism.
Key Qualifications & Responsibilities
Biblical Standards: Meets the scriptural qualifications of a pastor/elder as outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1–7, Titus 1:5–9, and 1 Peter 5:1–4.
Preaching & Teaching: Delivers sound, biblically grounded sermons with conviction, clarity, and practical application.
Pastoral Leadership: Demonstrates godly character, humility, compassion, and a shepherd’s heart in ministering to the congregation and reaching the local community.
Ministry Vision: Collaborates with church leadership and members to revitalize ministries, foster spiritual growth, and encourage active community outreach.
Compensation & Benefits
