MUSIC MINISTER/DIRECTOR
Central Baptist Church — Trussville/Argo, Alabama
Central Baptist Church is seeking a part-time, bi-vocational Music Minister/Director to lead and develop our music ministry.
Position: Approximately 10-15 hours per week
Schedule:
• Wednesday evenings: 5:00–8:00 PM
• Sunday mornings: 9:00 AM–12:00 PM
• Salary Range: $23K-28K commensurate upon experience
Responsibilities:
• Lead worship for Sunday morning services.
• Direct and work with our existing 35–40-member adult choir.
• Plan and lead primarily traditional worship, while incorporating appropriate contemporary selections.
• Provide guidance and support for the children’s Wednesday night music program; this position will advise and work alongside the
program but will not serve as the children's music teacher.
• Work collaboratively with church leadership to strengthen and grow the overall music ministry.
Ideal Candidate: We are seeking someone with a strong Christian faith, solid musical and worship leadership experience, and a heart for serving the local church. The ability to work effectively with an established choir and balance traditional worship with select contemporary music is important.
