Chris Collier has been active in church work most of her life. Collier is described as having the spiritual gift of encouragement. As one of her friends said about her, “Her strong faith radiates through her smile and words of encouragement to all.”
Q: What was your childhood like?
A: I grew up in a large loving family. I was taught to honor the Lord’s day.
Q: How did you come to know the Lord?
A: A neighbor invited me to a revival service, and God truly spoke to my heart.
Q: How were you involved in church over the years?
A: I served the Lord in many capacities: taught Sunday School for 52 years, directed Sunday School and Woman’s Missionary Union, choir member, Vacation Bible School teacher, participator in weekly visitation and prayer ministry.
Q: What did you get from participating in those ministries?
A: Seeing those I work with grow in faith and knowledge of Him.
Q: How do you see yourself involved in church in the future?
A: I want to keep on keeping on until He calls me home.
Q: What difference has being a Christian made in your life?
A: It has taught me many things. It helps me be more caring for others and made me realize I am never alone. He walks with me always.
