Weaving the Tapestry of Leadership” is the goal of a national secretaries group.
The National Association of Southern Baptist Secretaries (NASBS) is hosting a workshop at Shocco Springs Conference Center Nov. 2-4 to offer assistants or secretaries the opportunity to hone effective leadership skills.
The three-day event includes these topics: “Discovering Who You Are in Christ,” “Creating a Positive Image,” “Making the Best of Who You Are,” “Organizing for More Effective Ministry,” “Learn How to Start a Secretarial Organization” and “Learn How to Plan Banquets and Develop Themes.”
The Shocco conference cost is $175, which includes meals, lodging (two to a room) and fees. Janice Holcomb, a freelance consultant for LifeWay, will speak. It begins Nov. 2 at 5 p.m. and concludes with a noon lunch Nov. 4.
