Don’t miss out on Connect, Alabama WMU’s enrichment and leader training (formerly known as Equip), to be held July 23–24 at Shocco Springs Conference Center in Talladega.
The event is not just for women and not just for WMU members, said Candace McIntosh, executive director of Alabama WMU.
Breakout sessions
The two-day conference, which begins Friday at 2 and concludes Saturday at 3, will include engaging breakout sessions on a variety of current ministry topics, including:
- Confidently sharing your faith
- Jesus-centered parenting in a child-centered world
- Jars of clay: Refocusing on the power of God
- Encouraging our missionaries
- Foster care and adoption
- Conflict resolution.
Missionary testimonies
Also featured will be missionary testimonies from North American and international missionaries and leadership training for those who work with all levels and types of missions and ministry activities, and lots of fellowship for missions-minded believers.
Debbie Childers will lead Bible study during Connect, and special guest Rosalie Hunt will speak about her memoir, “6 Yellow Balloons: An MK’s China Story.”
