At the end of September, we were invited to attend the annual prayer retreat for four International Mission Board (IMB) missionary families who work with the Zulu people in South Africa.
These missionaries have various strategies to present the gospel, including youth Bible clubs, women’s life skills training, HIV/AIDS education programs and a food distribution project through a local church that is funded by your world hunger offerings. All of these strategies are intended to lead to personal evangelism and church planting.
The Wednesday worship service at the guest house continues to be a blessing to us. In recent weeks, we have hosted IMB missionaries from Angola, Uganda, Malawi, Rwanda and Indian Ocean Islands. This is an important time of spiritual refreshment for missionaries who live in remote areas, but it is our privilege to hear their stories and pray with them while they are here.
We have our tickets to fly to Birmingham, arriving Dec. 15. We look forward to being in many of your churches while we are home for 57 days.
Pray for your IMB Zulu missionary families that they will have open doors to present the gospel and be able to balance the demands of ministry with the pressures of their own family responsibilities. Pray for our time in the United States as we spend time with our family and visit churches to talk about the work of missions.
