Cooperative Program gifts up in October

NASHVILLE — October receipts for the Southern Baptist Convention’s Cooperative Program posted a 3.27 percent increase over the same month a year ago, according to Morris H. Chapman, president and chief executive officer of the SBC Executive Committee.

A total of $14,489,661.57 was received to support Southern Baptist missions and ministries globally and across North America, compared to $14,031,208.45 in October 1999. For the SBC Cooperative Program Allocation Budget, the $14,489,661 in CP giving was 103 percent of the budgeted $13,999,698.
