Pamela R. Durso and Keith E. Durso (Ed.). Macon, Ga.: Mercer University Press, 2005. 176 pp. (Paperback).
This book, right off the press, is a collection of essays about Baptist women who have each served in the ministry for more than 30 years.
Quite interestingly, it is pointed out that the first woman ordained in a Southern Baptist church came in 1964; now there are more than 2,200. The women leaders featured in the book served as staff members, pastors, missionaries and missions organization leaders, as well as teachers and professors.
