Court overturns blasphemy death sentence

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan—The Voice of the Martyr’s (VOM) contacts inside Pakistan report that the Pakistani Supreme Court has overturned the blasphemy conviction and death sentence if Christian Ayub Masih. On Aug. 15, the court ordered Masih’s immediate release, ruling that “Ayub are baseless and false.”

In 1994, Christian Manzoor Masih was released by a Pakistani court, only to be shot dead on the courthouse steps by Islamic radicals. At last report, Masih was being sheltered from Islamic extremists who are allegedly seeking to kill him.
