NASHVILLE — Giving through the Southern Baptist Convention’s Cooperative Program in October were up 14.36 percent over the same month in 2002, according to a news release from SBC Executive Committee President and Chief Executive Officer Morris H. Chapman.
Receipts of $15,742,910.51 were $1,977,374.88 above the $13,765,535.63 received in October 2002.
For the SBC Cooperative Program Allocation Budget, the $15,742,910.51 received in October is $465,984.68 more than the $15,276,925.83 budgeted, or 103.05 percent of budget to support Southern Baptist ministries globally and across North America.
The SBC operates on an Oct. 1-Sept. 30 fiscal year.
