CP giving 3.71 percent below last year’s pace

NASHVILLE — November contributions through the Southern Baptist Convention’s (SBC) Cooperative Program (CP) were $14,916,108.16 — 1.28 percent, or $189,025.66, above the $14,727,082.50 received in November 2004. Year-to-date receipts, however, are 3.71 percent below the same time frame in 2004, according to a news release from Morris H. Chapman, SBC Executive Committee president and chief executive officer.

As of Nov. 30, the year-to-date total of $30,802,750.67 for CP Missions is $1,187,504.35 under the $31,990,255.02 received at the same point in 2004. Designated giving of $6,918,758.42 for the same year-to-date period is 10.69 percent, or $668,186.17, above gifts of $6,250,572.25 received at this point last year. The $3,366,509.95 in designated gifts received last month is $317,375.37 above the $3,049,134.58 received in November 2004, an increase of 10.41 percent.

For the SBC CP Allocation Budget, the year-to-date total of $30,802,750.67 is 97.34 percent of the $31,644,209.16 budgeted to support Southern Baptist ministries.
