Many times when a great recording is completed, the question arises, “Can they do it again?”
This time the Crabb family really did it again. A Crabb Collection features brand new recordings of many Crabb family versions songs previously recorded by other artists. The common thread id the material on this project is that all of the songs were written by Gerald Crabb.
Although A Crabb Collection is a collection of hits, the project does include one brand new song. “Don’t You Wanna Go?” is the Crabb family’s latest single, and will fall under that list of hits in the very near future.
If you liked what you heard from the Crabb Family in the past, wait until you hear the second time around. Songs like “Please Forgive Me,” “Trail of Tears,” “The Lamb, The Lion, and The King,” “I’m Running On,” “Something Going on in The Graveyard,” “Where We’ll Never Die,” “Brother Forever,” “Jesus In a Song” and “Two Little Feet’ never lose their message nor their power.
You may also remember General Crabb songs from artists such as the Issacs, the Perrys and Tony Gore & Majesty. A Crabb Collections features the Crabb family’s versions of these songs. These kid’s sure know how to sing their dad’s songs. The project concludes with Jerry Goff’s favorite, “Try Walking on the Water.” For those of you who have followed Gerald Crabb’s songwriting, you will surely enjoy this trip down memory lane. You will also enjoy hearing the changes that several years of experience have brought to these already excellent songs.
