RICHMOND, Va. — Trustees at the Baptist Theological Seminary at Richmond announced March 20 their election of Ron Crawford as president of the 18-year-old seminary. Crawford, 55, was approved unanimously by trustees March 19 and will take the position July 1.
Crawford will succeed Thomas Graves, who retired last year due to health reasons.
The pastor of College Park Baptist Church in Orlando, Fla., Crawford is a native of Virginia and former trustee of the seminary. He has a master’s and doctorate degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, N.C. He has served as a pastor for 33 years and served as president of the Baptist General Association of Virginia.
