Curt Davis

Sheltered
Independent

You will mostly likely remember Curt Davis as a member of the Perrys, but for seven years he anchored the third vocal part for the Whisnants. Not long after leaving the mainstream of southern gospel music, he accepted the minister of music position at Pleasant Gardens Baptist Church, Marion, N.C. Although he still holds that position, he has recently begun venturing back into the world of southern gospel music.

His new project, “Sheltered,” is a fine first solo effort. Sheltered was produced by the multi-talented Mylon Hayes; Mylon, Missy Waldroup, Debbie Stallings and Jeff Collins provided background vocal support. Twelve very strong writers, including Rodney Griffin, Jim Brady, John Darin Rowsey, Rebecca Peck and Twila LaBar, wrote 12 strong songs. Greg Day and Curt’s wife, Carol, co-wrote the beautiful song, “A Very Present Help.”
Curt, it’s good to have you back.
