Chris Sanchez is the new executive pastor of Dauphin Way Baptist Church, Mobile.
Sanchez previously served as an education and evangelism pastor, administrative pastor, executive pastor and director of operations at several churches in Georgia. He also served in lay ministry in a variety of roles. Sanchez is currently an adjunct professor of business in the online school for Truett McConnell University, Cleveland, Georgia.
He holds a doctor of philosophy in educational leadership and a master of theology in practical theology from Southern Seminary; a master of accountancy (in process) from Shorter University, Rome, Georgia; a master of religious education from Liberty University, Lynchburg, Virginia; a master of business administration in finance from Keller Graduate School of Management, Atlanta; and a bachelor of science in management from National Louis University now based in Chicago. Sanchez served on the 2024 SBC committee on resolutions and has served in a variety of associational and state convention-level leadership roles in Georgia. He also was a leader in the Georgia Baptist Disciple-Makers Network.
Sanchez and his wife, Melisa, have two adult children. Lee Merck is pastor.
