Q: How did you become a Christian?
A: I grew up in a Christian home. I never remember not being one. My parents molded us from a young age. I became a church member when I was 9 years old, but I’m sure I was a Christian long before that.
Q: When and how were you led into the ministry?
A: I could play (the piano) when I was a small child before I started school, as early as 5. It’s a wonderful God-given talent. When I was 13, I filled in for my brother James, when he graduated from high school and went on to college.
Q: What does the ministry demand?
A: Faithfulness to it. You contribute what you can and do your part. Music service is a very important part of the worship process, so I’ve always taken it seriously.
Q: What do you get from the ministry?
A: Much more than I give. It’s so rewarding to know that I contribute to the overall success of the service.
Q: How do you see yourself involved in this ministry in the future?
A: I hope to do it for 50 more (years). I doubt I’ll make it, but it would be nice if I could.
Q: What difference will this ministry make for you in the future?
A: It’s been a wonderful part of my life, and I still enjoy it tremendously.
