The Health and Wellness Ministry of Dawson Memorial Church, Birmingham, will hold a training for family caregivers called How to Communicate With an Alzheimer’s Patient Nov. 14, 10 a.m.–noon, with Miller Piggott, executive director of Alzheimer’s of Central Alabama, in the social hall. The church also will hold a program about stress and depression called I’m So Stressed Out It’s Depressing Nov. 15, 5–6 p.m., with Andree Stoves, associate professor of psychiatry and behavioral neurobiology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, in the social hall.
