Bill Johnston is the new associate pastor of Dawson Memorial Church, Homewood. Johnston comes to Dawson Memorial from First Church, Alabaster, where he served as minister of education and outreach for the past 14 years. He previously served as pastor of Faith Church, West Blocton, for nine years. Johnston holds a bachelor’s degree in health and recreation from Jacksonville State University; master of divinity degree from Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas; and doctor of ministry degree from New Orleans Seminary. He and his wife, Janet, have two sons. Gary Fenton is pastor.
