NASHVILLE — Contributions through the Southern Baptist Convention’s Cooperative Program are 1.37 percent ahead of the same time frame at the outset of 2010, according to a news release from SBC Executive Committee President and Chief Executive Officer Frank Page.
As of Dec. 31, the $47,603,914.90 received for Cooperative Program (CP) missions is $645,459.28 ahead of the $46,958,455.62 received at the same point a year earlier. The SBC operates on an Oct. 1–Sept. 30 fiscal year. For the month, CP receipts of $15,612,660.99 were 13.85 percent, or $1,898,709.50, ahead of the $13,713,951.49 received in December 2009.
For the SBC Cooperative Program Allocation Budget, the year-to-date total of $47,603,914.90 is 95.29 percent of the $49,955,522.54 budgeted to support Southern Baptist ministries globally and across North America.
