Directors of Missions elect new officers during recent meeting

John Marks, director of missions (DOM) for Bethlehem and Pine Barren Baptist associations, has been elected president of the Alabama Baptist Conference of Directors of Associational Missions and will lead the group during the upcoming year. He was elected at the group’s November gathering.

Meeting prior to the Alabama Baptist State Convention annual meeting in Mobile, the directors of missions organization held a time of worship as well as a brief business meeting Nov. 12. The group met on the campus of the University of Mobile.

Also elected during the meeting was Sid Nichols, DOM for Calhoun Baptist Association, to the office of president-elect. Jim Jackson, DOM for Elmore Baptist Association, was re-elected as secretary/treasurer.
Larry Felkins, DOM for Chilton Baptist Association, led the group as president this past year. (TAB)
