The Alabama Baptist Discipleship Conference is set for April 19–20 with both virtual and in-person options.
“Our hope is to help each individual minister, leader and follower of Christ be more of a disciple maker,” said Robert Mullins, pastor of Crossroads Community Church, Elmore, and a member of the Disciple-Making Ministries of Alabama team.
The conference — to be held at Fultondale First Baptist Church — will start at 10:30 a.m. on Monday with Daniel Im, author of “No Silver Bullets” and senior associate pastor at Beulah Alliance Church, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
The regular session will run from 1:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Monday and 8:30 a.m. until noon on Tuesday.
In-person attendance is limited to 100 to allow for social distancing.
Speakers for the event are:
- Joël Malm, founder and director of Summit Ministries in Seguin, Texas, and author of “Vision Map,” “Fully You” and “Love Slows Down.”
- Ken Adams, lead pastor at Crossroads Church in Newnan, Georgia, and founder/director of Impact Discipleship Ministries.
- Scott Kindig, pastor of Kingdom Initiatives at Community Bible Fellowship in San Antonio, Texas.
- Robert Coleman, author of “Master Plan of Evangelism.”
The sessions will also include roundtable discussions and worship. Virtual attendees will have the option to interact personally with conference leadership.
The discipleship conference is sponsored by Disciple-Making Ministries of Alabama in partnership with the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions.
