Discovery Channel investigates Jesus’ works

Christian and expert illusionist Brock Gill is hosting Discovery Channel’s “Miracles of Jesus” TV special currently scheduled to air the afternoon of Christmas eve.

For centuries, critics have claimed that Jesus’ miracles never happened or they were purely illusions. In three back-to-back episodes, Gill presents an objective look at the miracles Jesus performed.

The Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions (SBOM) invited Gill to perform his illusions and share his message at the Youth Evangelism Conference in Montgomery in 2004, said Teman Knight, an associate in the SBOM office of evangelism.

“He is a great entertainer and illusionist, and he has a very poignant and evangelistic message that impacts young people with the gospel,” Knight said.
Gill has shared his message at events featuring Billy Graham, Luis Palau, David Nasser, Audio Adrenaline and others.
According to a press release from Vertical Ministries, the miracles documentary will highlight eight miracles including the raising to life of the widow’s son, the feeding of the 5,000, walking on water (performed by illusionist Andre Kole) and changing water into wine.
Various biblical historians as well as critics of Jesus’ miracles are interviewed, showing both a pro-miracles viewpoint as well as the arguments against them. The ultimate question is left up to the viewer to decide. Check local listings for exact air times.  (TAB)
