Eunice Drinkard has been involved in teaching Sunday School for years. Although Drinkard is now blind due to macular degeneration, she continues teaching by having her daughter read the lesson to the class, and then explaining it herself.
Q: When did you come to know the Lord?
A: I accepted Christ as my Lord and Master when I was about 13.
Q: How have you been involved in church through the years?
A: I have been in church all my life. I have always been in church with my children. We still go to church. I am a Sunday School helper. My daughter is the teacher, and she reads and I try to explain. I began teaching Sunday School years ago when I taught a young persons’ class.
Q: What have you received from those ministries?
A: A blessing. I couldn’t attempt to tell you how much I have enjoyed teaching.
Q: How do you see yourself involved in church in the future?
A: I see myself in church until the day He carries me back home. When He carries me back, that is when I will quit.
Q: What difference has being a Christian made in your life?
A: It has made a tremendous difference. We have about 50 in our immediate family; nine out of 10 are still in church today. Now that is a blessing.
