Five churches from East Liberty Association will hold a simultaneous revival April 0-14 at 7 p.m. Each participating church will host an evening service, and the pastor of each church will preach one night.
Sunday, the service will be held at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Roanoke. The speaker will be Jonathan George, pastor at Shiloh Baptist Church, Wadley. Monday, the service will be at Bethel Baptist Church, Five Points. Rudy Tidwell, pastor of Abanda Baptist Church, Wadley, Will preach. Shiloh Baptist will host Tuesday’s service. Jimmy Brown, pastor of Milltown Baptist Church, Lafayette, will be the speaker.
Wednesday’s service will be at Abanda Baptist. The speaker will be Robert Karcher, pastor of Five Points Baptist Church, Five Points. The service on Thursday will be held at Five Points Baptist. Maynard McGinty, pastor of Pleasant Hill Baptist, will be the speaker. The service Friday will be at Milltown Baptist. Jim Dykes, pastor of Bethel Baptist, will be the speaker.
The vision of a joint revival came out of a desire of these bivocational pastors wanting to hold revival meetings without a high expense to their churches. (TAB)
