Eastern Valley Baptist Church, Bessemer, on mission

Early last year, the Women on Mission of Eastern Valley Baptist Church, Bessemer, in Bessemer Baptist Association collected eyeglasses to send to Peru with Ruthie Cornwell, a missionary serving through Source of Light Ministries International.

With the group’s help, hundreds of glasses were distributed in villages.

Cornwell recently visited the group to share the ways residents of Peru benefited from its donations and their appreciation of being fitted with the glasses.
