Eastern Valley Church, Bessemer, will celebrate its 79th homecoming Aug. 19, 11 a.m. Virgil Mulkin will speak. Lunch will follow and Uplifted will sing at 1 p.m. Eastern Valley will also hold revival Aug. 26–29. Services will be Sunday at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. and weeknights at 7. H.W. Doss will speak. Paul Davis is pastor.
