Ernest Tucker Jr., a retired Alabama Baptist pastor, died Feb. 26. He was 80.
Tucker, who earned a master’s degree in English and religion at Mobile College (now the University of Mobile), had a career as a schoolteacher but also felt the call to preach. Over the years, he served as pastor of Pleasant Hill Baptist in Millry and Howardtown Baptist Church in Tibbie.
Tucker is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Pat, and daughter, Lisa. He is survived by his children, Leslie, Ashlie and Christopher; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
