Carl Edward “Ed” Lacy Jr. died Feb. 27. He was 70.
A Mississippi native who pursued a career in music as a rock and jazz drummer, Lacy began serving as an evangelist in 1983. He preached in churches around the United States and trained pastors and church planters in Cuba, Kenya, India, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Honduras, Mexico, Uganda, Mozambique, Romania, Russia, Ukraine and Ecuador. He was involved in prison ministries and ongoing outreaches to Christian drug and rehab centers.
He is survived by his wife, Dianne; three children; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
