Evergreen Church, Jackson, will celebrate its 128th anniversary Oct. 18. Sunday School will be at 9:30 a.m., fellowship at 10:30 a.m. and worship at 11 a.m. Former Pastor Jim O’Neal will speak. A ground-breaking ceremony for the new multipurpose building will be at noon. A covered-dish lunch will follow. Howard Gaston III is pastor.
