A woman who put faith in Jesus in January has been divorced by her husband, rejected by her parents, threatened with death and forced to flee with her children to another area.
The 31-year-old woman — who has three children ranging from 5 to 9 years old — put faith in Jesus on Jan. 20 after seeing “The Jesus Film” on Christmas Eve, reports Morning Star News.

During the Muslim observance of Ramadan in March, she shared the film with her Muslim parents, who live in Kismayo in Somalia. This displeased her father, who told her to leave with her children and not return. Her mother tried to intervene but was sent away too.
Her mother stayed away a month but then “denounced the Christian faith and returned to my father,” the woman said.
The father also called his daughter’s husband, who agreed with the father and divorced the woman in accord with Islamic law, she said.
Muslim relatives and others have threatened her life, she told Morning Star.
As of June 13, she had gone with her children to a border area near Kenya to find work to sustain her family, she said.
Islam is the constitutionally established religion of Somalia, says Morning Star, quoting the U.S. Department of State. All other faiths are prohibited.
