University of Mobile (UM) faculty and staff members received special recognition for contributions to their professions May 3 during the annual faculty and staff spring luncheon.
Kathy Dunning, chair of the department of accounting and assistant professor of accounting, received the William A. Megginson Teaching Award. The award is for excellence in classroom teaching and scholarly activity and for her contributions to campus and community life.
Eileen Gardner, assistant registrar, received the Emma Frances Megginson Service Award. This award is presented to a full-time employee who exhibits excellence in promoting the philosophy of the university, excellence in performing responsibilities and excellence in contributing to campus and community life.
