William R. Cannon is the new pastor of Farmville Church, Auburn, effective Aug. 6. Cannon comes to Farmville from Siloam Church, Marion, where he served as pastor. He previously served as pastor of Pleasant Hill Church, Gordon; First Church, Notasulga; First Church, Salem; and a church in Kentucky. A native of Ozark, Cannon holds a bachelor’s degree in religion from Auburn University and a master’s degree from New Orleans Seminary and is currently working on a doctorate from Southern Seminary in Louisville, Ky. He and his wife, Anitra, have four children.
