It was a great day for those gathered at Rehobeth Baptist Church, Fayette, Oct. 24 as they celebrated the church’s 125th anniversary.
“We had a great time and great fellowship,” Pastor Casey Watkins said.
Former pastor Dwight Geist was the guest speaker for the day, and Polly Fowler led a choir made up of current and former members. Bonnie Lawrence led congregational singing.
Photo albums were on display, and a brief history of the church was distributed.
David Nelson of the Alabama Baptist Historical Commission and John Killian, director of missions for Fayette County Baptist Association, presented certificates to the church.
