After five years of recording her daily segment “The Beason Bit” on radio station WJIA in Guntersville, Kelly Beason, a member of First Baptist Church, Albertville, in Marshall Baptist Association, put the first four years of the segment’s stories into print.
In her first self-published book, “Amazing Moments With the Savior,” Beason said she is doing what the psalmist said to in Psalm 96:3: “Declare His glory among the nations, His marvelous deeds among all peoples.” The book is composed of short personal stories that declare what God has done in her life.
“It’s exciting,” Beason said. “To this day, I don’t know how I did it all. God gets the glory for it.”
With the images of a lighthouse and two hands holding an hourglass on the front cover, Beason hopes to convey the message that Jesus is the Light of the World and that time is in His hands. She hopes the book will encourage readers in their faith and serve as a witness for the Lord.
“I want to fan the flame and get people excited about their faith. I feel the Lord is using my book to plant seeds,” Beason said.
She and her husband, Steve, have four children. She sings in the choir and with the Breath of Praise worship team at First, Albertville. She also serves as the state collection center coordinator for Operation Christmas Child, a ministry of Samaritan’s Purse.
