What would be your answer if asked, “What is one thing you would want people to know about you if they did not know anything else?”
For Miss Teen Alabama-World Elizabeth Beasley, it would be an unhesitating “I want everyone to know that I am a Christian. I am nothing without God, but I am everything that I am because of Him.”
And that was just the answer she gave during the final competition of the Miss Teen United States-World Pageant July 10 in Houston.
“Before the final competition Friday night, I told God that if it was His will for me to be Miss Teen United States-World, then I really wanted the title. I prayed that every time they narrowed us down,” said Beasley, a member of First Baptist Church, Eufaula.
Beasley was awarded fourth runner-up in the competition. But more than the glory of the title, “this experience showed me how powerful God really is and that He does answer prayers,” she said.
