Gabrielle Blankenship, a member of First Baptist Church, Clanton, spent three and a half months in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, last fall under the sponsorship of the Southern Baptist Convention’s International Mission Board. Because Vietnam has a repressive government, missionaries must have other jobs and share their faith with contacts they make.
Blankenship went to the country as a university student and made friends with other students. She led a number of her new friends to faith in Christ and offered instruction in discipleship. Blankenship also taught missionary kids.
