Thirty students from First Baptist Church, Eufaula, traveled to St. Louis, Mo., June 5–12 for their annual youth choir tour missions trip.
The group from the Barbour Baptist Association church began the week ministering at Kings-highway Baptist Church, St. Louis, Mo., facilitating a block party on Saturday night and leading worship on Sunday morning. Around 200 people attended the block party, and at least one salvation decision was made.
“Our main motivation was to encourage that church that God is doing a work in St. Louis and can use that church to do great things,” said Minister of Music Adam Traylor, who led the trip.
The group also sang at the city’s historic courthouse during Monday’s busy lunch hour, but the highlight of the trip, according to Traylor, was the ministry that took place Tuesday at the Covenant House, a nonprofit agency that assists homeless and abandoned teenagers, ages 16–21.
