First Baptist Church, Huntsville, on mission

Sixteen members of First Baptist Church, Huntsville, in Madison Baptist Association traveled to Regina, Saskatchewan, in August.

The team, led by Don Newman, worked at Discovery Baptist Church to help move the kitchen to another location in the fellowship hall and enlarge it. Team members also helped with the church’s soccer camp, sharing Bible stories with and performing skits for 5- to 10-year-old children.

“The church will say, ‘You sure were a blessing to us,’ but it’s really a big blessing to the team to see the enthusiasm of the church to do the Lord’s work,” Newman said.
