Working with a new church plant among the Gypsies of Ukraine was just one part of the May 13–20 trip taken by two members of First Baptist Church, Tuscaloosa.
Partnering with Salvation Temple Baptist Church in the city of Belgorod Dnestrovskiy, the missions team worked alongside Pastor Michael Pishtoy doing construction on the church’s education building, encouraging its 11 church plants and preaching seven times.
This is the Tuscaloosa Baptist Association church’s 11th year partnering with missions work in Ukraine; over the years, it has sent six to seven missions teams.
“We were reminded of the humble and gentle Christlike spirit of the people,” team member Vial Fontenot, minister of missions and ministry at First, Tuscaloosa, said of the most recent trip. “Their love for Christ was very visible.”
