First Church, Birmingham, staff change

Richard L. Shahan is the new children and family pastor for First Church, Birmingham. He has served at Shades Mountain Church, Vestavia Hills, and other churches in Alabama, North Carolina and Texas. Shahan is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma in Norman and Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. He and his wife, Karen, have two children. Stan Lewis is pastor.
