First Church, Clanton, staff change

First Church, Clanton, has called Matthew DeBord as pastor. DeBord previously served at First Church, Carthage, Miss. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University in 1983 and a master of divinity from New Orleans Seminary in 1986. DeBord also completed language studies in Hebrew as well as a doctoral seminar on the book of Proverbs. He and his wife, Kay, have two children, Julie and Timothy.
