First Church, Huntsville, new pastor

Travis Collins is the new pastor of First Church, Huntsville. He previously served as interim pastor at Gayton Church, Richmond, Virginia. He also served as interim pastor at First Church, Huntsville. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Samford University in Birmingham and a master of divinity degree and a doctor of philosophy with an emphasis on missions from Southern Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. He began the position Feb. 7 after it was announced to the church Jan. 31. He and his wife, Keri, have three children and two grandchildren.
