First Church, Mobile, is holding a 10-week women’s Bible study on the Book of Esther Mondays at 9:30 a.m. in the church parlor. The study, led by Margaret Mangham, continues through April 6. The church’s Mother’s Day Out program is available for preschool children during the sessions. For information call 251-432-6513. First, Mobile, will also hold a mid-winter Bible study with Ted Mashburn, associate dean of the college of arts and sciences and professor of humanities at the University of Mobile. The four-session study, called “Paul the Radical Evangelist,” will be Feb. 11, 5:45–6:30 p.m., in the fellowship hall; Feb. 15, 9:45–10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.–noon, in the sanctuary; and Feb. 18, 5:45–6:30 p.m., in the fellowship hall. A catered dinner will be served prior to the Wednesday sessions at 5 p.m. For dinner reservations call 251-432-6513. Children’s activities and preschool nursery will be available during all sessions.
