First Church, Rainsville, new pastor David O. Cofield

David O. Cofield is the new pastor of First Church, Rainsville. He will begin July 26. Cofield earned a bachelor’s degree from Samford University in Birmingham and a master of divinity degree from New Orleans Seminary. He is the director of the Huntsville extension of New Orleans Seminary. Cofield has served as pastor of churches in Louisiana, Georgia and Alabama and most recently served 10 years as pastor of CrossRoads Church, Rogersville. He and his wife, Roxanne, have two children and five grandchildren.
