First Church, Trussville, will host a conference on Breast Cancer Education Awareness on Oct. 19, 9 a.m. The theme is “Restoring Mind, Body, Spirit” and the Scripture is Jeremiah 29:11. Helen Krontiras, oncologist at UAB, and Julie Whatley, nurse practitioner at UAB, will share about breast cancer. Cathy Lee Phillips, writer, storyteller and inspirational speaker, will also speak.
