First Church, Tuscaloosa, staff change

Matt Rouse is the new minister of music for First Church, Tuscaloosa, effective Jan. 8. Rouse holds a master of church music from New Orleans Seminary and a bachelor of music from Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, La. He has served churches as minister of music in Baton Rouge, La.; Corinth, Miss.; Wichita, Kan.; and comes to First, Tuscaloosa, from First Church, Jackson, Miss., where he served as associate minister of music for the past six years. Rouse and his wife, Sheri, have two children. Gil McKee is pastor.
