Mel Deason is the new interim pastor of First Church, Vincent. Since his retirement from East Hill Church, Pensacola, Fla., he has served several churches in the Birmingham area as interim pastor. He is a graduate of Samford University in Birmingham and Southern Seminary in Louisville, Ky.
