The first-ever Lake Guntersville Team Jesus Tournament, a fishing event for men and youth, will be held April 23. The tournament will be held on Lake Guntersville for the adults, with a special children’s Fun Day held at Guntersville State Park.
The event – directed by Terry Chupp and Team Jesus Ministries – is sponsored by the evangelism office of the Alabama Baptist Baptist State Board of Missions, Marshall Baptist Association and various churches in north Alabama.
The youth event (for children age 7 to 12) will feature a 45-minute fishing session, followed by entertainment by Whacky the Clown (J.D. Plumner). The children will receive a free rod and reel and a Team Jesus hat, as well as a hot dog lunch. Chip Warren, children’s minister for First Baptist Church in Albertville, will share the plan of salvation will all in attendance.
