Five Iron Frenzy All the Hype That Money Can Buy (5 Minute Walk)

Five Iron Frenzy (FIF) has gained a great deal of attention as one of contemporary Christian music’s premiere ska bands. On their
latest release, All the Hype That Money Can Buy, FIF shows that they rightfully deserve to be considered in such high esteem. The band’s light-hearted, and sometimes humorous, approach to music making is complemented by its willingness to tackle subjects such as bigotry and commercialism.

All the Hype is FIF’s fourth full-length album and is perhaps its best to date. The album reveals new levels of musicianship for the band. Each song is driven by guitars, percussion, and an in-your-face brass section. Two songs of the album feature percussionist Karl Perazzo, who is well known for his work with Santana. FIF offers plenty of humor on this album with songs like “The Phantom Mullet,” and “You Probably Shouldn’t Move Here,” as well as a cover of the Tom Jones hit “It’s Not Unusual.”

Given the chance, Five Iron Frenzy is sure to put a smile on your face. All the Hype is an album packed with energy and fun. The album also carries the all-important message of the hope found in Christ.
